Colonial Auto Service - Your Up Front and Honest Mechanics
Company History
In 1977, Dave Murray opened Colonial Auto
Service to fulfill his career goal of owning his own business. Dave's goal was to build an up front and honest auto repair business. He strived to provide his new customers, as well as his former customers, the most reliable service in town. Dave saw this business as an important part of the town of East Longmeadow, Massachusetts.
The customer base of Colonial Auto Service continued to grow over the years. In fact, the customer base eventually became too big for this small auto repair shop. As a result, Dave Murray decided to build a new garage to provide better service to his customers. In January of 1988, the new garage was completed and ready to be put to use.
At the same time, Dave saw the need to add on to the staff at Colonial Auto
Service. He saw the potential to be great mechanics and future owners of the business in both of his sons, Brian and Dan.
Dave demonstrated to both Brian and Dan how to be mechanics customers would trust and want to come back to. At the same time, Dave explained to them how to run the business and what it entailed. Eventually Dave knew Brian and Dan were ready to take the business into their own hands.
As a result, Brian and Dan have taken over ownership of Colonial Auto Service. They continue to provide the same upfront and honest service that Dave
integrated into the foundation of the business. They strive to keep the business up-to-date with the advancement of technology and the service of auto mechanics.
Colonial Auto Service may have changed looks, and even ownership over the years, however, it has maintained its originating ethics - providing customers the best service in town that is always up front and honest. And, even though Dave Murray has retired from the business, it is not unusual to see him overlooking what is going on at the shop.
